The answer is to use an Add-On. In each of Google's document types, there is a menu called "Add-ons". It allows you to get new add-ons that make Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides better for you. One such Add-On is called "Extensis Fonts". Once added to your Docs, just go to the Add-Ons menu, choose "Extensis Fonts" and "Start". Thousands of new fonts will show on the right hand side for you to use.
